Selected JWT Collections: Reference and Vertical Collections

In addition to our print advertisement and records for specific office locations, the Hartman Center houses multiple reference collections that many researchers find of use. These include vertical files, records for specific departments and accounts, biographical and personnel information for J. Walter Thompson Company employees, office and staff photographs, printed materials produced by J. Walter Thompson Company, and other materials. • Vertical Files: Includes collections pertaining to corporate accounts, marketing topics, and internal J. Walter Thompson Company documents
• Records: Includes collections consisting of records pertaining to corporate accounts, departments, and administrative bodies.
• Other Reference Collections: Includes collections consisting of a variety of mediums including photographs, microfilm, printed materials  such as newsletters and publications, memoranda, and documents on microfilm.
