African American History Manuscript Collections in the Rubenstein Library

Collection Focus: Black Intellectual/Scholar Papers

Black intellectual history is one of the major collecting areas of the John Hope Franklin Research Center and Rubenstein Library. This important area of concentration is anchored by numerous scholars who have authored books, articles, and projects exploring race and our society. Researchers will also find a wealth of correspondence and communication among an intellectual community that highlights the inter-connected web of networks rooted in and out of the academic world.
