Student groups and organizations are a large part of Duke's history. Duke University Archives partners with student groups to document their activities. We accept records in about as many formats as you can imagine, including digital materials.
This guide is meant to serve as a resource for student groups interested in placing their inactive records with the University Archives. You'll learn what types of documents you can donate, how to prepare your materials for transfer, and how to contact us when you're ready to transfer your records. If you're interested in learning which student groups are represented in the archive, visit the last tab "Student Organizations in the University Archives."
Whether your organization existed for only a semester, around a single cause or event, or has a long history that continues today, documenting your organization with the University Archives means that its contributions to campus and student life will live on. Because at Duke, your story matters.
