S&P Capital IQ: SNL in Capital IQ Pro

Contains comprehensive fundamental and quantitative company research and analysis, and detailed information on investment banking, private equity, corporations, investment management, professional services, and brokerage.

What is SNL?

"SNL" is a set of content not normally available in a basic Capital IQ or Capital IQ Pro subscription, but Ford Library has subscribed to this content via an "add-on" module. This guide page will describe this additional content and where to find it in Capital IQ.

In order to access SNL content, you will need to register for a Capital IQ account if you have not already done so.

Duke's subscribed modules are limited to data on banks and thrifts, credit default swaps, financial services, healthcare, insurance, loan market share, and financial demographic and demand data.

Locating SNL Content

Take these steps to access SNL content in Capital IQ Pro.

  1. Login to Capital IQ Pro. Use the same credentials that you created and used to login to "standard" S&P Capital IQ.
  2. From the top menu bar, select "Screener" and then choose "Screening & Analytics" from the mega-menu as shown below.

  1. This will load the "Screening & Analytics" page. The SNL Classic data group is located in the center of this page.

  1. SNL Classic data is also available via a dropdown menu at the top of the page.
