Introduction

feminist-art1

Feminist art reveals the effects of images on definitions of gender, sexuality, race, and class and attempts to intervene in how people see and live these categories. Feminist art was inspired by, and a significant part of, the Women's LIberation Movement and the general milieu of protest and upheaval in the late 1960s and 1970s. This guide was designed to help you find books, images, and other resources for this class taught by Professor Kimberly Lamm.
