Inventor; assignee. Publication date. Title of patent. Country patent number.


Anatomy of a citation
  1. Inventor name(s): Formatted as last name and initials (no periods), list multiple inventors in the order in which they appear on the patent. For more than five names, list the first name followed by "et al."
  2. Assignee name: See above.
  3. Publication date: Formatted as year month (abbreviated) and day.
  4. Title of patent
  5. Issuing country/region: Use adjective form.
  6. Patent number: Begins with a 2-digit ISO country code.
