Plans

Professional (scholarly) architectural journals are most likely to include plan.  Make sure to search the articles page of this resource.

  1. Note in the article description if it says "plans"
  2. Search Jstor ADVANCED SEARCH with the terms [building name]   AND  plan limited to the 'captions' page.  This looks for all the images in articles with some sort of image and the word 'plan' underneath it.

  3. Google Images advance search.  In the keyword type the name of the castle.  Scroll to the 'colors in image' and select B/W.  Under that, at 'type of image' select LINE Drawing.  The combination of castle name + B/W line drawing often brings up plans of a building.
