Sometimes the best way to get started with DH is to look at what others are doing or have done. The DH world is full of great projects and so is Duke University.
We also offer guides on ethical collaboration and project management, as well as information on where to find space to meet and how to get started finding data for your project.
The many options available for researching, developing, and disseminating one’s work to diverse audiences means planning ahead. Through the project management guide, you can find guidance and examples of ways to structure your project for success from the beginning.
Our digital humanities consultant can meet with researchers at the beginning of projects to help them identify resources they can use, ways to collaborate with and credit different groups involved, and help ensure the project is sustainable. Reach out to askdigital@duke.edu if you have questions or needs related to project design, planning, and effective management.
