There is a special search interface on the Music Library homepage that you can use for limiting a search to just scores or just recordings.
If you are looking for scholarly editions, you can type "Works" after a composer's name in the catalog to find out if we have an edition of the composer's works. Indexes to composer editions can be found in the Works Lists of Grove, and scholarly composer and collected editions are also indexed in IPM (The Index to Printed Music)
