The SASPAC consortium at http://www.saspac.org/ provides packaged census data and access software

UK Data Archive
The UK Data Archive (UKDA) is an internationally-renowned centre of expertise in data acquisition, preservation, dissemination and promotion; is curator of the largest collection of digital data in the social sciences in the UK and houses a major collection of computerised historical material, including the Economic and Social Data Series.
AHDS History

 preserves and provides online access to archived digital datasets and documents from UK central government departments. spans 40 years of recent history, with the earliest available dataset dating back to about 1963.
