Isaac Leroy Shaver Papers, 1893-1982

Isaac Leroy Shaver (1893-1984) was a Methodist clergyman and missionary to Japan from the 1920s to the 1960s. The collection includes sermons, correspondence, photographs, printed material and published works related to Shaver's missionary work in Japan and Idaho. Included in this collection is a certificate from Pan Am for crossing the International Date Line on February 20, 1954. The certificate has been digitized and can be viewed here: https://repository.duke.edu/dc/isaacleroyshaver/ilsms07166. It is the second item in the folder.

Joe Castro papers, 1957-2009 and undated

This collection comprises materials primarily related to Doris Duke and Joe Castro and to Castro's work with his jazz trio. Included in Box 3 of this collection are certificates from Pan Am.
