Streaming Music Databases

You can use these databases to find audio recordings that you can stream on your computer:

  • Music Online
    Includes the following databases:
    • American Song (including African American music)
    • Classical Music Library
    • Contemporary World Music
    • Jazz Music Library
    • Smithsonian Global Sound for Libraries

Also includes biographical information.

 

Finding Articles and Databases Using the Librares' Search Tools

  1. To begin your research, find the full text of a specific article by using the Articles search on the Duke Libraries homepage.
  2. Limit to Peer-reviewed or scholarly titles by clicking the box under the search box.
  3. Find specific research databases (ex. Proquest) by using the Research Databases page.

Can't find the article? Request articles that Duke does not own by using document delivery.

Using Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) or Document Delivery allows you to request articles, books, or scans of book chapters not available full-text through the Duke Libraries. 

  • Create a Document Delivery account.
  • Once you create your account, for an article, all you need to do is click the "request a copy from another library" in the search results.
