Welcome to Duke Libraries

I'll be working with your class to help you find materials and navigate the library's many resources for your group writing assignment.  Your job is to identify:

  • a key concept of chemistry,
  • explain the key concept, and
  • connect the concept to real world applications.

Chapter 3 of ChemPRIME, a freely available textbook has tons of examples.  Check out Section 3.2.3 3.2.3: Everyday Life- Why Fats Don't Add Up on Food Nutrition Labels to see how central concepts of chemistry are explained and demonstrated in a real word example.  Why don't fats add up on nutrition labels?

Please feel free to schedule an appointment with me using the green button under my picture. I'm based at Perkins Library and happy to meet you on Zoom.

Don't forget you can also get help by stopping by the Perkins or Lilly Libraries, email, or chat.
