CLST 248/ARTHIST 208: Art and Archaeology of Ancient Athens: Books and Excavation Reports

Use this guide to identify resources for your annotated bibliography.

Duke University Libraries' Books and Media Catalog

Duke University Libraries' website includes links to the Books and Media catalog. From there you can find monographs, including excavations reports, as well as books about specific aspects of Greek architecture, sculpture, monuments, and inscriptions.  A sample search for excavation reports will lead to additional items when you look at the full record.  Look for summaries, table of contents', and subject headings for additional leads.

Please be sure to take advantage of our fantastic Interlibrary Loan service, which lets us borrow materials on your behalf from all over the world. The staff collaborate with a number of consortia, including the Triangle Research Libraries' Network, Borrow Direct/Ivy Plus, and OCLC's WorldCat to identify materials and have them sent to us.  Many of these are digitized and pushed to your desktop.  Other times they will borrow the actual physical item which you can check out at the service desks.   To learn more about their services, and to register, to to Interlibrary Requests
