The Rubenstein Library contains multiple editions of various published accounts of Captain James Cook’s three voyages around the world in the late eighteenth century, as well as the maps produced as a result of those voyages. These accounts, written by Cook and other commanders, constitute rich travel narratives of the Pacific World, although the geographical and ethnographical information within these texts must be viewed through a colonial lens.
