Finding Scores

To find scores in the library catalog:

  • Search from the Music Library homepage. Click on the radio button for "Scores Only" 
  • To search for a specific song, put the title in quotation marks, such as "I could have danced all night"

Browsing vocal music in the Music Library:

  • Vocal scores are located downstairs in the Music Library: M1495-2199
  • Vocal scores are arranged in a variety of categories, including:
    • M3 -- scholarly editions, shelved alphabetically by composer​​
    • M1495 -- general collections
    • M1500 -- full scores of operas, shelved alphabetically by composer
    • M1503 -- piano vocal scores of operas, shelved alphabetically by composer
    • M1505-1508 -- excerpts, including musical theater
    • M1611-1624.8 -- solo vocal music, secular
    • M1999-M2199 -- sacred vocal music
