Basic searching - LIBRARY.DUKE.EDU

 

Locate books, films, recordings, journals, and more using the Books & Media search.  Start with a keyword search then narrow results using the column on the left, including choosing "online" after filtering. Note that at the top of the left column, you can also click "available online" for all your results. 

Research 101

Click through 6 short tutorials  that give an overview of libraries & accounts, finding books, finding articles, citing sources, advanced search, evaluating sources and then take the Research 101 library review and see how you do.

The Evaluating Sources section includes discussion of Scholarly vs. Popular.

Need a book we don't own or article from a journal we don't subscribe to? Don't give up hope--use Document Delivery/Interlibrary loan!
