Work with our staff to share your scholarship widely, reach and engage your intended audiences, meet your funding requirements, track use, navigate copyright and fair use in research and teaching, and explore open access to scholarship and open educational practices in your classroom.
Kate is available to answer questions and provide consultation and instruction about copyright, fair use, and authors' rights in research, teaching, and publication. She also works on library licenses, copyright assessment and contracts for library collections, and serves as the library's liaison to the Office of Counsel. Kate holds an MSLS degree from UNC-SILS and a JD and MA in American Legal History from UVA. She is admitted to the North Carolina bar.

Haley works with the Duke community to navigate the scholarly publishing ecosystem, including open access to scholarship, open education, and measuring research impact. She works with the Elements publications management system and supports the DukeSpace open access repository. She is library liaison to the Duke Program in Education and visits undergraduate and graduate classrooms to share library resources, information, and research strategies.
