Theater and Politics in Contemporary Istanbul
Speakers will present their experiences in their small theatre collective BuluTiyatro within the context of recent political history in Turkey. Based on their very own encounters, struggles, challenges, dreams and frustrations, inspirations and silences in Istanbul and Turkey, they will reflect upon and reconsider the notions of commons, urban transformation, the relationship between art and politics, interdisciplinary and methodology (in both our work in theatre and elsewhere), and the political history of Turkey.
