This guide is different from the Virtual Reference Room since it focuses less on the art of the exegesis, but rather on finding resources for understanding the cultural context of the Hebrew Bible. To that end, this guide is divided into sub-pages focusing on highlighting online and physical resources for the study of Semitic Languages, the broader Ancient Near East, Archaeology, and literature.
