Finding Research Reports Online
LANIC (Latin American Network Information Center) is located at the University of Texas where full time faculty and trained student assistants evaluate web sites relevant to all aspects of Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Organized by country, theme and discipline, this really is one-stop-shopping for freely available online sources.
To find research reports from Latin American think tanks, use a Google search for words such as reporte or investigación combined with country names or regional names (e.g., Centroamérica or Cono Sur) and key terms such as:
- "Medio Ambiente"
- "Desarollo sostenible"
- "Calentamiento global"
NOTE: Putting a term in quotation marks will produce results for that TERM rather than the individual words.
