Databases

  • Bloomberg - covers commodity, futures, and options markets worldwide.  Bloomberg workstations are available at the Ford Library as well as Perkins Data and GIS Services Department.
  • Commodity Price Data (World Bank) - access to worldwide average monthly, quarterly, and annual prices on energy, agricultural, raw materials, and metals. 
  • CME - provides data from the Chicago and New York markets including agricultural, energy, metals, interest rates, and other financial instruments.
  • OptionMetrics via WRDS - is a comprehensive source of historical price and implied volatility data for the US equity and index options markets.
  • LSEG Workspace - LSEG Workspace contains market data, company financials and filings, ESG data, earnings estimates, transaction data, analyst research, and more. LSEG Workspace replaces Refinitiv Workspace and provides access to similar content.  Includes Datastream and SDC Platinum.
  • S&P Capital IQ and Capital IQ Pro - Contains comprehensive fundamental and quantitative company research and analysis, and detailed information on investment banking, private equity, corporations, investment management, and professional services.  Capital IQ Pro provides the same coverage as Cap IQ, but includes financial market data such as stocks, indices, bonds, and interest rates.
