Walking Through Durham's Past: Biographical Information

Durham Biographies

The biographies of Durham Citizens are largely confined to newspaper articles although Illustrious citizens have had published biographies.  Collection descriptions of  manuscripts in Duke's Rubenstein Special Collections Library often include authoratative, if brief biographical notations.

There is no authoratative single biography of the progenitor of the Duke family but a collective biography of the family and a great book is:
