Introduction

Usability Resources at Duke

User testing of interfaces and websites is a good way to assess if your websites and interfaces are meeting the needs of your users. Usability testing is the where a user is observed in test scenarios and asked to perform and complete certain tasks. The Participant's actions are recorded for both qualitative and quantitative information. These results are then analyzed to help identify and correct user problems. There are different approaches to usability testing that can differ depending on what resources are available and what approach is taken.

Over the last few years, Duke University Libraries has conducted several assessment projects using usability equipment and methodology. This guide is a collection of those resources and services that are available to the Duke Community.
