Overwhelming response to library Kindle Pilot
The Libraries have been overwhelmed by the response to the Kindle pilot project at Perkins and Lilly. We welcome your interest, but please be advised that there is a waiting list for each of the 12 Kindles. Therefore a waiting period will be required for each new loan request. Instructions for placing a hold request are detailed below.
The Library will respond to inquiries about the Kindles at the earliest possible opportunity.
Reserve a Kindle DX at Perkins or Lilly Library
How to place a hold on a Kindle:
Find Kindle ebook reader in the catalog.
Click on "Get this title" (look for the little delivery truck
).
Enter your netID and password.
Choose a Kindle for Lilly or Perkins pickup.
We'll e-mail you when your Kindle is ready.
Each of our Kindles is loaded with identical titles.
What do you think?
The Libraries will expand its e-reader pilot project according to user demand (and as possible within budgetary constraints). Should the Libraries offer more e-readers? If so, which ones?
