The 2002 Gallup Poll of the Islamic World
Perkins Library owns the raw data of the 2002 Gallup Poll of the Islamic World. Designed to measure the views of the entire national population of each country included in the project, the Poll samples citizens in both urban and rural areas. It is 'based on a multistage probability sample.'
The countries included in the Poll are Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
All 10,000 interviews for the Poll were conducted in-person, in the home of the interviewee. The interview consisted of approx. 120 questions and required about one hour to be completed. The interviews were conducted in December 2001 and January 2002. Supervised by Gallup Organization research managers, the research process was carried out by research organizations indigenous to each region.
