Can't Find An Article Full-text

If you only have access to the citation of an article, and not the full-text, you can request a scan of the article through Duke's document delivery/interlibrary loan (ILL) system.  Here's the link to the ILL system, https://library.duke.edu/using/document-delivery.  The first step is to register for your ILL account.

Since this is a Duke system, the registration form is not tailored to Duke Kunshan University students.  Here are a few tips:

  • All registration questions must be answered in order for the registration to be accepted.
  • You should use your netID when you asked for your Duke unique ID.
  • For pickup location (used for book delivery at Duke), select "Perkins."
  • For student affiliation or department, select "Trinity."

If you are using the DKU/Duke catalog or databases to search for articles, click on the Get it@Duke button or "Citation Online," and don't have access to the full-text, you will need to click on the button that says "Request – University Users" and, if you have an ILL account, the request form will be automatically filled out for you.

All you will need to do is click submit at the bottom of the request form.  This all sounds rather complicated but if you follow the directions, it's not difficult to do.
