Feminist Movements, 1880s to the Present

Guide to primary sources documenting feminist movements at the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture in the Rubenstein Library.

Duke University holds a wide range of materials documenting women's movements. This guide is intended to introduce you to these materials; it is not a comprehensive list of our holdings nor does it provide comprehensive coverage of women's movements themselves.

The materials in this guide document U.S.-based feminist activity, feminist groups from North Carolina in particular and periodical literature from the women's movement generally. The materials are roughly organized into chronological order--as indicated by the tabs at the top of the page--and highlight collections from the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture.
