Film & Video: Viewing Film/Video

Viewing in Lilly

To view film and video resources, we provide:

  • 16 code-free DVD players (play DVDS from the U.S. and other countries) and 1 code-free Blu-Ray player
  • 3 Multi-format VCRs (play videocassettes from the U.S. and other countries)
  • 1 LaserDisc player* (available upon request)
  • 1 U-Matic tape player* (plays ¾" tapes - available upon request)
  • 1 16-millimeter projector* (available upon request)

Lilly’s viewing carrels are located in the periodicals room on the first floor, Lilly 113; each carrel can accomodate up to 4 viewers.

Lilly also offers viewing equipment for film screenings in Room 103, the Lilly Training Room, and Room 001, the Williams Room. For information about the viewing equipment or to reserve Room 001 or 103 for a screening (days/times are limited), contact Nathaniel Brown at 919-660-5954 or nathaniel.brown@duke.edu.
